Eighty Seven Park, designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, one of the biggest names in architecture, has topped off at the eighteenth floor and sold more than 80% of its 66 units. The developer, Terra Group, plans to have it done late next year.
The lozenge-shaped luxury building is placed at the northern edge of the City of Miami Beach, where it abuts the North Shore Open Space Park, which is being renovated and creatively integrated into Eighty Seven Park’s Design. At the base of the tower, thick landscaping will give the impression that the greenery of the park extends around and underneath it. With the parking underground, the silvery shaft-like building will be the only thing to disturb the vegetation. Deep, cantilevered balconies that make great, round curves at either end give it more than a passing resemblance to Apple’s new ‘flying saucer’ HQ in California.
