Miami: Five Striking Condominiums Delivering in 2018

The new year will be kind to Miami's pulsating real estate environment, with multiple skyline-changing developments heading for completion in 2018. And some of the world's most revered architects are leaving their mark in the tropical metropolis, packing the interiors of their creations with amenities that constantly raise the bar for experiential living.

The late Zaha Hadid made an impactful statement when the award-winning architect unveiled the 62-storey One Thousand Museum. Hadid's first residential tower in the Western Hemisphere will complete in 2018 with luxury amenity spaces, including a two-storey Aquatic Center and Sky Lounge. The roof of the undulating tower will even have a private helipad.

The 53-storey Aria on the Bay by Melo Group is also approaching the end of construction. The 648-unit condominium nestled within Miami's Arts and Entertainment District will offer unobstructed views of Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach and the downtown skyline. Designed by Arquitectonica, the project will hold residences hosting one- to four-bedrooms. An exclusive set of tri-level penthouses will boast private rooftop pools and garden terraces.

Not to be outdone is Rem Koolhaas and OMA, who have designed the three-tower Park Grove development. Terra and Related Group will add 298 units to the seaside community of Coconut Grove within a 5.2-acre waterfront park. Over 50,000 square feet of amenities and a comprehensive art program will be scattered across the property. Two Park Grove and the Club Residences are nearing completion, while One Park Grove is in the midst of vertical construction.

In Miami Beach, SMG Management and W Capital Group are executing the 18-storey L'Atelier Residences. Only 20 half-floor and full-floor residences are available, yielding immense floor plans measuring 2,300 to nearly 7,500 square feet of space. The Revuelta Architecture-designed tower will come with an infinity swimming pool, upper deck lap pool, a state-of-the-art fitness area, and a private attended beach space.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach designed by Lissoni Associati will contain distinct housing types and amenities, with homes selling between $2 million and over $40 million. The development boasts 60 floor plans on seven-and-a-half acres of waterfront land. Two- to five-bedroom homes range in size from 1,700 to over 10,000 square feet. In total, the resort-style development — to include a private 36-slip marina, meditation garden, rooftop restaurant, spa, and pool — will contain 111 luxury residences and 15 single-family villas.
