Since starting Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in 2006, the Danish architect has completed innovative projects around the world. The twisting towers he designed for luxurious Grove at Grand Bay exemplifies his concept that architecture is as much about context and environment as about structures. The sculptural residential buildings in Coconut Grove are an exercise in maximizing views, and extended balconies provide shelter from excessive heat and sunlight. The graceful silhouette of Grove at Grand Bay, completed in 2016, has become a reference point for the Coconut Grove neighborhood.
