Renzo Piano

Master architect Renzo Piano was born in Genoa, Italy, and grew up beside the sea. Eighty Seven Park in Miami Beach, his first residential project in the US, balances light and shade, simplicity and complexity, with technical exactitude learned growing up in a family of builders. Conceived as villa-like residences rising in 16 vertical decks, they seem to hover above the surroundings designed by landscape architects West 8. Other examples of Piano’s creative range include The Centre George Pompidou, the Shard in London, and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.
