Pedro Martin co-founded Terra in 2001. Since then, Mr. Martin has led the company to become one of South Florida’s most innovative real estate firms, with a portfolio valued at nearly $5 billion of commercial and residential development.
Mr. Martin’s career in real estate has focused on transforming some of South Florida’s most important neighborhoods through responsible and community- centered development, including Miami Beach, Dadeland, Downtown Miami, Doral, Coconut Grove, Weston, and Pembroke Pines. His track record of success over the years earned him the American Institute of Architects’ prestigious Developer of the Year Award.
Mr. Martin earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and a law degree with honors from the University of Florida, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Rollins College. Prior to founding Terra, Mr. Martin practiced real estate law as a partner at Greenberg Traurig for 25 years, representing developers and financial institutions since the 1970s.
Beyond his professional life, Mr. Martin has been a seminal figure in South Florida’s civic and philanthropic community for decades. He has been a longtime supporter of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Miami Dade College, and countless other nonprofit organizations. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law.
